Advanced Clinical Skin Care

900 hours (600 hours required for state licensure)
300 hours Continuing Education for Licensed Estheticians

Professional Estheticians are working more closely than ever with medical professionals. Physicians are requiring that estheticians have a higher level of education than is necessary for state licensure. We feel it is our responsibility to provide that level of education to better prepare Estheticians for the current and future employment market.

We have chosen to offer an additional 300 hours of training focused on advanced skills, state-of-the-art products and a thorough understanding of histology of the skin.

Many of these advanced skills deliver results through challenging the skin and taking advantage of the body's repair mechanism to achieve an improved look and feel.

State-of-the-art products introduce the Esthetician to a whole range of possible procedures. It is essential that Estheticians understand how these ingredients work and how they interact with other products and medications.

Advanced procedures used in skin care practice require a reexamination of fundamental theory and a thorough understanding of how the skin functions. Often, this is left up to the Esthetician to do on her/his own or not at all.

The safety and well-being of the public is best served when Estheticians receive more thorough education and training than is usually provided by equipment manufacturers or a distant sales representative.

What credentials do you have for the Advanced Clinical Esthetics program?

We have recently expanded our offerings to include Advanced Clinical Esthetics, with the skills needed to excel in working for or with a physician in the areas of dermatology, plastic surgery and esthetic medicine. Our Instructors in Advanced Clinical Esthetics have experience performing these advanced skills safely and effectively.

In this quickly growing field, new products, machines and techniques are introduced at a dizzying pace. As we explore these new procedures, our Instructors receive extensive training with experts in the field. Only after thorough training and hands-on work with protocol models do we add the new modality to our program.
